Welcome to Our World: A Glimpse Into Our LifeTogether

When Harish told Wendy on their first date that he once dreamed of becoming a professional tennis player, she responded with full confidence, “Oh yeah, I play tennis ball.” Harish smiled—he knew she had no idea what she was talking about. That suspicion was confirmed when Wendy saw him play for the first time and whispered, “Ooooh… like he actually plays tennis ball.”

Turns out, Harish is good at pretty much every sport he tries. Wendy, on the other hand, has proudly proven she knows absolutely nothing about sports. Their first tennis “match” wasn’t exactly a game. Harish was ready for rallies; Wendy spent most of her time running after stray balls and announcing, “I got it!”—usually after it had already bounced twice. But they laughed the whole way through. It wasn’t about scoring points—it was about discovering how well their differences played together. They’re looking forward to spending more time on the courts—maybe starting with pickleball, given Wendy’s current skill level.

Their story truly began with a text—not a bold ask, but a subtle nudge. Harish messaged Wendy asking for the best taco spot in town and casually added, “I really need wine.” No mention of a date, just a craving and a clever cue. Wendy took the hint and made the first move, planning their first outing at a local winery. Harish with the quiet charm, Wendy with the bold follow-through.

Since then, wine has remained a meaningful part of their connection. So much so that they’ve decided to travel the U.S. in 2026, exploring different wineries along the way. They’re hoping to get some tips on the best wine spots, recommendations on a few bottles, and suggestions for must-visit states.

And when there’s wine, there’s food. Food is a love language in their home. Harish learned very quickly that Wendy must be fed. Breakfast is non-negotiable for her, and Chef Chand delivers every time. Harish doesn’t eat until after noon, which makes his alter ego a morning hero. He enjoys cooking, while Wendy happily takes care of everything else—just not in the kitchen. His spice rack is growing. Wendy, on the other hand, hopes to contribute a few dishes of her own—her way is through recipe books.

When the week winds down, they both get out of cooking duties. Friday night date nights are sacred. Back when they worked in a busy heart failure unit, Wendy would pack an outfit to change out of scrubs, while Harish dashed out still in his to enjoy a nice dinner out. Five years later, they still honor those nights. Their go-to spots range from Thai joints to Indian kitchens, burger dives to fusion spots. Dessert is a must—Harish is happy with chocolate or candy, while Wendy leans toward pastries and cheesecakes.

But not every Friday involves going out. Sometimes, staying in with cozy blankets (no such thing as too many blankets) and a movie is their favorite kind of bonding. Before Harish, Wendy was a Bollywood loyalist. Now? Strictly Tollywood. Their favorites include Telugu films like Samajavaragamana, suspense thrillers, and whatever Netflix series they’re currently hooked on—Money Heist being a top contender.

Beyond Fridays, when they’re not busy working or diving into one of their many projects, they love catching a comedy show or hearing live music. Their most memorable concert experience was seeing Coldplay in Singapore. Harish called it “life-changing.” Wendy teased, “What in your life did it change?” Still, they both agree: it was unforgettable.

And so is traveling together. Harish, whose baseline is already Type B, brings the laid-back vibes, while Wendy—surprisingly—shifts into Type C (chill). Their trips are minimally planned but maximally enjoyed. Over time, they’ve discovered a few truths: they’re not water people, and definitely not heights people. But give them a horse, a hiking trail, or a poolside with the view and sounds of the beach, and they’re in their element. With more state trips on the horizon next year, they’re hoping to pick up travel tips and hacks for smoother adventures.

Sometimes, the best kind of getaway is just a short drive away. Harish and Wendy love escaping the city for peaceful weekends in Conroe with the Carazo family. Harish, a small-town soul at heart, fits right in—like he was always meant to be there. Whether it’s celebrating a holiday, swapping stories over café con pan, or checking out Harish’s latest car (he changes cars like underwear, we say), Conroe has become a second home.

It’s where they spend time with their family, the niblings, and the dogs. This year, Harish and Wendy became proud fur parents to Ty and Khloe—two pups who turned Wendy from “no dogs” to “two dogs in two months.” Now, daily walks, dog park adventures, and cozy movie nights with their furry companions are part of the rhythm. Their home accessories now include dog toys, treat jars, and the occasional squeaky surprise. Wendy has loved having another girl in the house and seems to always be inclined toward finding stylish leash hooks or travel carriers to make their next adventure cuter.

That pairs perfectly with Wendy’s obsession with elephants (trunks up for good luck) and her ever-growing jungle of houseplants. Plants are their only pop of color in a home that leans black, white, and gold—because neither Harish nor Wendy is particularly drawn to bold hues. So naturally, Wendy brings home a new plant every time she goes to the store. Watering them? That’s Harish’s domain. He finds joy in tending to each one, even as he playfully suggests Wendy consider switching to artificial greenery. (She hasn’t. Yet.)

Harish is more reserved in his accessories, keeping his treasures tucked into his own space: watches, pens, and baseball caps—funny, considering baseball is his least favorite sport. Harish is overall really neat, but his space could definitely be as tidy as his tennis serve.

When they’re not in scrubs or caught in the go-go-go of work and projects, Harish and Wendy savor the slower moments. Their home—lively with puppy paws, playful banter, and personal quirks—is a reflection of their opposites-attract magic. Whether it’s decompressing on a weekend getaway, laughing with family in Conroe, or curling up for a movie night with Ty and Khloe, they’ve built a life that balances hustle with heart.

It’s a rhythm of rituals, a home full of stories, and a love that’s always evolving—one Friday night, one road trip, one shared laugh at a time.
